Show Your Light Collective
18 Voices. One Invitation.
I’m incredibly proud to be one of 18 women who contributed their stories to this book. It was one of the most honest things I’ve ever written, and I think that’s exactly why it matters.
Show Your Light Collective is not a business book in the traditional sense. There are no formulas here, no step-by-step blueprints. What you’ll find is something far more powerful: the unfiltered, honest, deeply human stories of 18 women who chose themselves.
Women who faced burnout, loss, identity crises, self-doubt and the relentless pressure to play small and who found, often in their darkest moments, the courage to change everything.
This is the book that reminds you you’re not alone and that everything you need is already within you.

“Your story is your power. Your voice is your light. And it’s time to let both be seen.”
What’s Inside
These are not perfect stories; they are real, honest and deeply human. Six powerful themes run through every page of this book.
Reinvention After Rock Bottom
Stories of rebirth after loss, burnout and breaking points. How women rebuilt from the ground up and what they discovered about themselves in the process.
Finding Your Voice
For every woman who once felt invisible or unheard, these stories show how speaking up, even quietly at first, changed everything.
Rebuilding Identity & Self-Belief
When the person you were no longer fits the life you want, how do you shed the old skin, step into who you’re becoming, and trust yourself again?
Choosing Yourself
The uncomfortable, necessary, life-changing act of putting yourself first, even when every part of you is trained to do the opposite.
Purpose from Experience
Turning pain, pivots and hard-won wisdom into purpose, impact and meaningful growth for themselves and the people they serve.
Building & Growing Businesses
The real story of entrepreneurship is about pivots, setbacks, and breakthroughs. How these women built, rebuilt, and grew businesses on their own terms.

Tracy Duggan’s Story Is in Here
When Susie asked me to contribute, I had to take a breath. Writing your story, your real story, not the polished version, takes courage. I know that better than most, because helping people find that courage is at the heart of everything I do at Skillslocal.
But I also know this: the stories we hide are often the ones that help people the most.
So I wrote mine. About the moments of doubt, the pivots, the times I chose myself even when it felt uncomfortable about what it truly means to step up and stand out, not just as a professional tagline, but as a lived decision.
After 25 years of coaching and mentoring leaders, business owners and teams, I still believe the most powerful thing any of us can do is show up honestly. This book gave me the chance to do exactly that.
“The stories we hide are often the ones that help people the most.”
