First Aid for Mental Health
In the UK, 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem, including in the workplace. It’s clear that many employers and managers don’t understand enough to help, often resulting in a person’s mental health deteriorating. A staggering 13% of all sickness absence days in the UK, which costs employers approximately £2.4 billion a year, are due to Mental Health issues.
Our mental health awareness training is designed to provide an introduction to mental health challenges and helps raise an awareness of how important it is to the workplace. The courses provide an overview of mental health problems, outlining some of the symptoms and effects, and explains what you can do to help colleagues feel supported and encouraged. The courses promote positive mental health and demonstrate how easy it can be for employers to support the workforce so they are happier and more productive. All courses can be delivered online or face-to-face (COVID-19 restrictions) apply.
